The half marathon course is one lap, the full marathon course is two laps. Both races start and finish at the Bridgwater & Taunton College, Wellington Road, Taunton.

Runners Instructions

From the College the route is through the main streets of Taunton out into the Somerset countryside on the B3227 through Norton Fitzwarren, turning south through Oake and Bradford-on-Tone, then back up through Hele, Fideoak and Upcott into Bishops Hull village and Silk Mills Road back to the College.

All full marathon runners are directed straight on when they reach the College unless they indicate at the end of their first lap that they are unable to complete the full distance when, if they wish, they may finish at the half stage. Runners doing so will not be included in the Half Mararthon results.

There are four water stations along the route and frequent marshal points. Medical back-up is provided by St John Ambulance.
